Summer's here! Yoga postures for tired travellers.

Whilst jetting off on your hols is really exciting, it can leave the body feel tired, achy and bloated, so here's 3 of my favourite postures to do when you step out of that car or plane:

1. Legs up the wall

So easy this one, no excuses - find a wall, lie on your back and extend your legs up the wall! If your hips are tight, wiggle the tail bone a few inches from the wall to make it comfortable.

Hold for 5 to 10 mindful breaths. This posture will really help to rejuvenate tired, swollen legs, relieve back pain and calm the mind.

2. Forward fold

Seated forward folding relieves stress and reduces fatigue, stretching the spine, shoulders, and hamstrings. Sit with your legs extended in front of you, bending the knees to make it

easier if you need to. Inhale, sweeping the arms overhead, lengthening the spine and as you exhale bend forward from the hip joints, bringing the hands to the shins, ankles, or feet. Lengthen the front torso with each inhalation and as you exhale, fold a bit deeper. Hold for up to one minute.

3. Seated easy twist

Stretch the ankles, knees, back; realign the spine and give the internal organs a squeeze in this gentle spinal twist. Sit cross-legged, using a blanket or bolster under the sit bones if the hips are tight. Balance your weight evenly across your sit bones, aligning your head, neck,

and spine. Lengthen your spine, place your right hand on the floor behind you. Bring your left hand to the outside of your right knee, gently twisting to the right. Inhale to lengthen your spine, and exhale to twist deeper. Gaze over your right shoulder if the neck allows and hold for ten breaths mindful breaths on each side.

And enjoy your well-earned break!
